Brown-118Dr. Rikesha L. Fry Brown graduated cum laude from Hampton University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with an emphasis in education.  She earned a Master of Counselor Education degree with concentrations in both school guidance and mental health counseling from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Rikesha earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Counseling Psychology from Howard University.  Dr. Fry Brown’s dissertation focused on the psychological and social implications of mediated images for African American women, and she has presented on this topic for both the American Psychological Association and the Dr. Lonnie E. Mitchell Substance Abuse and Mental Health Conference.  Rikesha has served as an exceptional student education teacher and special education coordinator, and has co-authored and presented multiple items on the impact and influence of the education system on African American children.
