Dionica Bell is a master’s student in Postsecondary Education Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs at San Diego State University (SDSU). She serves as the program coordinator for the Minority Male Community College Collaborative (M2C3) where she coordinates partnerships with minority male initiatives that seek to enhance male of color outcomes by including assessment and evaluation into their programming models.
As part of her capstone project for her master’s program, Bell is conducting an outcomes based assessment on the African American Male Education Network and Development (A2Mend) annual conference. Prior to her work at M2C3, Dionica was Program Coordinator in the Center for Academic Assistance and Training in the Educational Opportunities Program at SDSU. In this capacity, she coordinated tutoring, workshops, and other activities designed to facilitate the success of historically underrepresented and underserved collegians. Bell has also served as the Kids to College Program Liaison in the Compact for Success where she educated low income middle school students and their families on California college readiness standards. She also designed the outcomes assessment plan for this program. Dionica is an active student advocate, who currently serves as the advisor for the African Student Union at SDSU.
Before her time at SDSU, Dionica served as an Assistant Manager for Special Events and Protocol in the Office of Donor Relations at the University of California, Los Angeles. In this role, she served as an advancement specialist for capital campaigns and as a coordinator for university events such as Bruin Day and UCLA Day. Bell also has extensive experience in the media industry, having been a national radio sales executive in New York, New York. Bell holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications from Texas A & M University – Commerce.
